Why Check Stereo Channels
Stereo sound uses two channels. If one is weak or missing, music loses its depth and videos sound off. This test sends a clean tone to one side at a time using a stereo panner so you can identify the problem.
How to Run the Test
- Put on headphones or position speakers correctly.
- Press the Left button and note what you hear.
- Press Right and compare.
- Press Both and check the tone sits in the center.
Common Causes of Imbalance
Earwax or dust in a headphone mesh, a bent plug, a loose connector, or the system balance set to one side. On Bluetooth devices, a re-pair often fixes it. Wired headphones may need a clean jack. See how headphones work.
